Hi I’m James, I’m a wedding photographer based in Exeter, Devon covering the South West.
I believe that the best photos of your wedding day come from a relaxed environment. To produce this I organise informal meetings, venue visits and an engagement shoot, so by the time your wedding day arrives it’s like a good friend taking your photos.
As part of my package you receive a signing frame and a USB presentation box, a truly special way to relive your wedding memories.
I have been very lucky to be able to photograph a wide range of wedding venues around the South West. These include Rockbeare Manor, River Cottage HQ, Larkbeare House, Hotel du Vin, Buckland House, Bickley Mill Inn, Muddifords Court Country House,Corn Barn, Sidmouth Harbour Hotel to name a few. With every wedding that I photograph I organise a venue visit with the bride and groom. We spent a couple of hours walking around the venue talking through ideas. From this I make a bespoke shot list for your wedding day, so that nothing is missed.

About Me.
Many people ask me why I love being a wedding photographer, I find it to be such a happy and joyful occasion, with each wedding being distinctive. I have my own style of photography, but I am always looking at new ways to create memorable photos. I get really excited when couples come to me with new ideas and themes for their weddings.
What to Expect.
I always meet up with you before your wedding to go through your plans. This helps me identify what really matters to you, I also give you a Welcome Pack to use as a guide to help you. I combine this with your engagement shoot and venue visit so that nothing is missed on the day. I want you to build trust between us so when it comes to the wedding day you don’t think of me as the photographer, but more as a friend.
How I Work.
My style is a mix of documentary and staged pictures. From starting with the prep shots in the morning to the first dance in the evening. I stand back to capture your special moments only standing forward to organise the group shots and the set photos we have chosen. I work with natural light and flash photography giving you great images with a few WOW pictures thrown in.
